Black Friday Solar & Power Deals: Cheaper Than Ever

Black Friday is here, and in a world where everything seems to get more expensive, I'm happy to report that many of the essential solar and power products I've tested are cheaper than ever this year. From full-size solar panels to whole-home backup solutions, 48V batteries, and portable power stations, there are some truly insane deals to be found.

What I Built

This year's roundup isn't about one specific build but rather a collection of the best deals on gear I've personally tested or would recommend for various energy independence projects. My garage setup, seen in many videos, features a mix of these components, from solar panels feeding into substantial battery banks to portable power stations ready for any adventure or emergency.

Why It Works

The core principle behind these deals is simple: competition and evolving technology. As more brands enter the market and manufacturing processes become more efficient, prices drop. For solar panels, advancements in cell technology mean higher efficiency at lower costs per watt. For batteries, the increasing popularity of LiFePO4 has driven down prices while improving longevity and safety. Portable power stations are seeing similar trends, with more features packed into increasingly affordable units. Smart home devices, often overlooked in the energy independence conversation, play a crucial role in optimizing energy use and integrating with solar setups.

When To Use This vs. Alternatives

If you've been considering diving into DIY solar, upgrading your home energy storage, or need reliable portable power, now is the time to buy. The prices on many items are at or below 2019 levels, making these investments more accessible. For whole-home backup, the EG4 system is a robust, cost-effective choice. Portable power stations like the EcoFlow Delta 2/Max, Anker Solix F2000, and Bluetti Apex 300 are excellent for camping, RVs, or essential circuit backup. The Starlink Mini is a must-have for anyone needing reliable internet on the go or during outages. For smaller, everyday power needs, the EBL rechargeable batteries and charger kit will save you money in the long run compared to disposable batteries. Smart home devices from Meross can optimize your energy usage, making your solar investment even more efficient. If you need a flexible ground-mount solution, the portable solar panel stands are a great choice.
